Welcome to Manitoba Stampede & Exhibition!

A pro-rodeo event on the Canadian Tour circuit, the Manitoba Stampede stars some of the top names in bull riding, bronco-busting, tie down roping, bareback riding, steer wrestling, ladies barrel racing, and team roping. Also check out the fast paced thoroughbred chariot and pony chariot and chuckwagon racing. For those looking for a laugh, look out for the Rodeo Clown.

At an altogether lower tempo, the Agricultural Fair section of the Stampede features dairy shows, light and heavy horse shows, betsy bingo and a Youth Stars of Manitoba Talent Competition. All this and great children’s entertainment, Kid’s Corral petting zoo, and ag-tivites in our Ag-Tivity Ranch make this a great event for the whole family.

Adults will enjoy the Scratching River Saloon (formerly the beer gardens) featuring a great line up of entertainment on the Rempel Insurance Saloon Stage. Don’t miss Saturday night QX104 Cabaret in the Scratching River Saloon.

Commercial displays and exhibits complete the line-up at this popular regional show.

Dear Community Members,

Thank you for joining us March 25 at our Community Engagement, we appreciate the time and suggestions you contributed to make the evening a success! We had an amazing turn out, 80 people, thank you to everyone who made this night possible!

As you are all likely well aware our 2015 events are coming up fast:
July 4 & 5 Manitoba Great Western Harness Racing Circuit (MGWHRC)
July 16-19 Manitoba Stampede & Exhibition
August 15 & 16 Manitoba Great Western Harness Racing Circuit (MGWHRC)
August 22 & 23 Manitoba Great Western Harness Racing Circuit (MGWHRC)

In addition to the standard planning that goes into these events, we are working hard at implementing some new ideas and changes to improve the use of the VAS grounds year round!
These changes start to incorporate some of the ideas and suggestions shared at the Community Engagement.

We are working cooperatively with members of the community, community groups, and government to finalize our location as the Morris Farmers Market.

July 4&5 (Harness Racing) will be the Valley Agricultural Society Summer Kick-off! We are working to incorporate some free, fun, and family friendly activities to this harness racing weekend.

Manitoba Stampede & Exhibition July 16-19, 2015:

In 2015 Thursday & Friday “Grounds Only” admission is FREE!

We are adding to the “Kids Corral Petting Zoo” by creating the * “AG-TIVITY RANCH”* and moving both of these areas into the arena. We are working with Agriculture in the Classroom, Agrium, and many other Ag groups to bring in many hands on activities for kids and families to make this new area FUN &FAMILY FRIENDLY.

The South Orange building (formerly the “kids corral”), in addition to continuing to house the School Work Projects, will become our Artist/Artisan area, where 100% personally made items will be available for sale.

We welcome you to identify an area in our 2015 events that fits into the category you identified as most important or interesting to you. Please email vasevent@mymts.net there is an area you would like to become involved in.

Valley Agricultural Society will host a follow up meeting to the Community Engagement at the end of September 2015.
